Profile Name: Friendly label for this stream template.
Unicast vs Multicast: One-to-one vs one-to-many delivery.
Destination IP: Target address for the stream.
SSM Source: Required for SSM (232/8).
Destination Port: Coordinate with firewalls/IRDs.
Source Port: Pin for NAT/firewall; else auto.
Payload: RTP/UDP, MPEG-TS/UDP, or raw.
TS payload: 1316B (= 7×188) common. Multiple of 188 avoids TS splitting.
Bitrate: Used for pacing and capacity planning.
Pacing: Smooth spacing; 2110-21 models for RTP.
PPS: Explicit send rate for legacy IRDs.
FEC: L×D matrix adds recoverability at some overhead.
L: Packets per column.
D: Columns protected per row block.
2022-7: Duplicate streams on disjoint paths; receiver merges.
Path B IP: Redundant endpoint.
Path B Port: Usually same as Path A.
DSCP: Queueing class. AF41 common for video; EF for voice/PTP (separate VLAN).
TTL: Limit scope; decremented per hop.
Jitter Buffer: Smooths arrival variance (typ. 50–250 ms).
Stats: Bitrate, loss, RTP gaps, FEC corrections, PCR/PTS jitter.
